The theme most frequently found in my work is Discovering Treasures Within … bringing order to chaos to reveal delights within shape and color. My artistic passion is about coaxing blasts of color into images capable of evoking strong emotional responses. Color is my cornerstone. More than any other element, color fuels my creativity. I hope people will notice which colors cause their heart to quicken and take pleasure in that feeling. When creating something beautiful I believe that my images, as well as the joy resulting from those images, have the potential to positively counter negativity. I believe that color can heal. I believe that color can be spiritual. Earth seems to be in a bit of trouble. I’m not certain how much trouble, but agree with comments I’ve heard about the Earth being akin to a sick child. We must not walk away. We must aggressively tend to the fever. Now, more than ever, it is important that art and creativity be accessible to everyone in order to help combat the confusion and complexities gripping our little planet. I hope my creative spirit will encourage positive energy. Painting is my way of tending to the fever. A wise and dear friend told me: “Keep up the great work of creativity–the honoring of the wondrous Spirit within. I will do my very best.
